Allende Center - Saint-Malo

Logo Saint Malo.JPG

The Salvador Allende Center in Saint Malo wishes to renew its visual identity with an exterior fresco. This municipal building housing a youth center is located along the avenue and lacks visibility.

We opted for a floral composition on a rainbow background, universal but in keeping with the youthful vocation of the establishment. The choice of flower essences also refers to the past of the Saint-Malo commercial port. The fresco will also have to extend on the ground to materialize the entrance to the center.

In addition to the painting site, the center naturally wanted to include young people in the project through graffiti initiation workshops. We therefore carried out part of the preparation and undercoating of the establishment with them. They will have the opportunity to try out the aerosol spray the following days with part of our team while the second will work on the nacelle to finalize the underlay.

Bretons that we are, we know that local weather windows can quickly turn to our disadvantage.

We therefore had to use our usual responsiveness and adaptability to meet the response times. Indeed, we could welcome young people only during the holidays and the inauguration was already scheduled.

All that remained was to unroll the fresco from top to bottom, making the most of the dry areas, a balancing act carried out on time and brilliantly. The challenge with the fresco on the ground is that it resists the passage as much as possible. We have chosen a paint specially designed for this purpose used in signage. This paint has an extremely limited color range, we made our own mixtures and opted for a very graphic intervention to ensure continuity with the facade.

After two weeks of intervention under capricious weather, we are returning an exterior fresco which completely dresses up the youth activity center.
