Karting Cap Malo

This artwork was conceived to adorn an iconic space dedicated to speed and adrenaline: the Cap Malo Karting track, located in La Mézière, near Rennes. The objective was clear: to offer a strong and universal visual, capable of renewing the graphic imagery of karting by deliberately moving away from the traditionally masculine codes of this sport, in order to assert a more feminine, inclusive, and contemporary approach.

Our mission was to design a striking mural, both technical and expressive, that engages with and subverts the mechanical and sporting world of the venue. We opted for a bold artistic direction: a vibrant, richly detailed visual that blends masterful technique, graphic dynamism, and raw energy.

The use of fluorescent colors, combined with black lighting, reveals the mural from a new perspective and creates a striking, almost immersive visual effect for both drivers and visitors.

The creation of this mural took place over four intense days, requiring nearly 200 cans of spray paint. Throughout the project, the exceptionally warm welcome from the entire karting team greatly contributed to its success. The friendly atmosphere, enthusiasm, and curiosity surrounding the creative process fostered a genuine collective dynamic, conducive to experimentation and artistic expression.

This project marks a significant milestone for our collective: it illustrates our ability to adapt our graphic style to unconventional spaces, while offering a fresh and engaging perspective on sports disciplines often confined by their visual conventions. This mural is designed to surprise, leave a lasting impression, and become a lasting part of the karting track's identity.
