Ryder Cup 2018 - St Quentin en Y

La Crémerie settled for a day in the 78 for two live exterior frescoes for the coming of the prestigious Ryder Cup.

From September 25 to 30, 2018,
Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines hosted the Golf National and for the first time in France, the Ryder Cup .

What is it ? This is THE most popular international golf tournament in the golfing world. The 12 best American players and 12 best Europeans compete for several days: a crazy atmosphere, more than 60,000 spectators per day.

Among many events that Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines has set up to host this event, there is GOLF EXPÉRIENCE.

A first edition launched on October 7 at the Golf National, the 2nd edition was held on June 16, 2018, in the shopping center of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (Quai François Truffaut).

The idea of this “golf festival” was to have everyone try golf in a festive and family atmosphere, and to dispel the elitist image of this sport.

In particular, there were free activities for all, initiations, outdoor games, exhibitions, food trucks, etc. The basic principle being to emphasize the “urban” side of this event.

"And yes, golf can be cool and taste like cotton candy rather than caviar"

Our team therefore looked at two frescoes covering empty and temporarily unoccupied shops. The two "commercial cells" being located in the heart of SQY Ouest, the frescoes offer a dream visibility.

Hayku and Mya are also present to affix a huge logo of the sports competition, in stencil; as well as a double landscape linking the whole of each fresco.

The first fresco produced in two hours, from early morning to warm up, takes up more soberly an energetic golfer's swing.

La Crémerie has chosen black and white for this fresco which is to host an exhibition of photos that are already rich in color. Passers-by show, as usual, a great curiosity and do not hesitate to stop to observe, photograph and question us about our action and this golf event in the center of their city.

The second fresco therefore takes up the logo as well as the silhouettes of two participants, a European dressed in blue, an American in red.

The logo is therefore present with its mythical enlarged cut for more technical flavors.

The island green of hole n°18 of the Albatros course is also laid.

Completed in three hours, it covers the old cinema and now becomes the new neighbor of the brand new "restaurant"!
